Upgrade to a REAL or Enhanced ID
Beginning May 7, 2025, all U.S. travelers must have a REAL ID, Enhanced ID or Passport to fly domestically or to access certain federal facilities.

If you wish to receive your registration renewal in paper form, via text or email click HERE or scan the QR code below. You will need your 9-Digit DMV ID Number (from your NYS license, permit or non-driver ID) to proceed.
You may unsubscribe completely from Electronic Reminders and receive paper reminders only, or stay enrolled in Electronic Reminders, but opt to receive paper reminders as well.

PROOF OF ID: For help with documents required to prove ID for a permit, license, Real ID, or non-driver ID, click HERE.
PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARD: Until further notice, credit cards will only be accepted for IN-PERSON DMV transactions. Mail-in transactions will not be processed with credit card payments.
