Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

Hazardous materials are commonly found in household settings. These materials range from household cleaners, automotive fluids, pool chemicals, fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides, and many more. These materials can be flammable, toxic, corrosive and/or reactive and be dangerous if mishandled.

Allegany County offers an Annual HHW Collection, free of charge to all Allegany County Residents, as a safe and convenient way to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste.
