Legislative Chambers 7 Court Street, BelmontSewing for Beginners class offered in Cuba

It’s Sew Easy to learn how to sew! This four-week program on Wednesdays in March from 5:30 – 8:00 pm is geared towards those who have never sewed but would like to learn. This class is for ages 16 & up, and there is a $5 fee. Each week, students will learn basic techniques and will hopefully complete a different project. This class will take place at the Cuba-Rushford High School and sewing machines will be provided. Students should bring a good pair of fabric scissors with them. Program is sponsored by the Cuba Circulating Library and space is limited, so registration is required. Please contact the library at 585-968-1668 or email cuba@stls.org to sign up
Author Stanley Swan to Speak at Howe Library
David A. Howe Public Library 155 N. Main St., Wellsville
Wellsville-Stanley Swan, local author and former funeral director and broadcaster from Andover, will make a presentation at the David A. Howe library on the ever-changing funeral industry. He will also share advice for anyone considering self-publishing. Stan spent over three decades in funeral service and has published two books since 2016.
