Legal Notice of Public Hearing – NYS Empire State Restore NY Rehabilitation Project Grant Application Requesting Funding to Rehabilitate Four Vacant Properties in Allegany County  

Allegany County will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Legislative Chambers in the County Office Building located at 7 Court Street, Belmont, New York 14813 for the purpose of receiving public input and comments relative to the submission of an Empire State Development funding application under the Restore NY Communities Initiative. With funding, the rehabilitation project will revitalize four residential properties including:

  • 31 Grover St. Wellsville, 2,030 square feet, vacant residential property, proposed for rehabilitation.
  • 62 O’Connor St. Wellsville, 850 square feet, vacant residential property, proposed for rehabilitation.
  • 15 Second St. Andover, 1,128 square feet, vacant residential property, proposed for rehabilitation.
  • 26 Main St. Almond, 2,990 square feet, vacant residential property, proposed for rehabilitation.

Allegany County is applying for $200,000, and is dedicating an additional 10% or $20,000 in matching funds for the project.

The location of the public hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
