New York State Department of Public Service 2022 Outreach
Rising energy prices are a major concern especially among our most vulnerable Allegany County residents. The New York State Department of Public Service has begun a summer campaign to provide consumers with information that will: raise awareness of the upcoming supply prices and the impact to our bills, provide ways to reduce our energy consumption, and help us manage our energy usage. I want to inform and encourage Allegany County residents with the steps we can take to reduce our electricity use this summer.
I encourage you to visit www.dps.ny.gov/summer where you can find information on the rising costs of energy, bill management options and assistance programs, and measures to reduce energy consumption. Please join us in a statewide effort to encourage everyone to be more energy efficient this summer and throughout the year.
