Proclaim the Week of Sunday, May 10, through Saturday, May 16, 2026 Western New York Armed Forces Week
WHEREAS: We recognize the Men and Women of Our Armed Forces for their Honor, Courage, Devotion to Duty and their Personal Sacrifices for “Our Freedom”; and
WHEREAS: We hold a deep respect for all “Veterans” and Active Duty personnel of Our Armed Forces –Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard, who have and continue to protect and defend “Our Constitution, Our Flag and Our Freedom”; and
WHEREAS: We pause to recognize their Sacrifices and at times giving their last full measure to sustain “Our Way of Life”; and
WHEREAS: We give Thanks to all Our Veterans and Active Duty Armed Forces Men and Women for their most Precious Gift to Us, “Our Freedom”;
NOW, THEREFORE: We the County Executives and Supervisors of the Eight Western New York Counties -Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming – Set Forth Our Hands to Proclaim and Recognize
