COVID-19 Statistic Update

In the United States, the COVID-19 virus has infected approximately 6.63 million people, and there have been over 196,000 deaths. (Please note that the US figures are lower than what was reported yesterday.) According to the New York State Department of Health COVID-19 tracker, there have been 446,366 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 25,410 deaths statewide.  As of 12:30 p.m. on September 16, Allegany County’s statistics are as follows:

  • Confirmed Cases:  98
  • Recovered Cases:  95
  • COVID-19 Related Deaths:  one
  • Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date:  1,330
  • Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 1,265
  • Currently Quarantined/Isolated:  65
  • Precautionary Travel Quarantines to Date:  847
  • Total COVID-19 Antibody Tests Given:  747
  • Total COVID-19 Antibody Positives:  35
