TCAC Seeks Artwork Art for Everyone Fundraiser

The Tri-County Arts Council (TCAC) is excited to announce the return of the Art for Everyone Exhibition and Art Party for our vital fall fundraiser, and we’re inviting artists, artisans, students and citizen art supporters of all levels who live near and far to participate by donating original work that will be sold during our vital fall fundraising event.

On Nov. 20, 2020, the walls of the arts council will be filled with hundreds of original, multicolored, multidimensional works displayed in a show-stopping design, all for sale to the public for only $25 each.

If you have a penchant for tile making, weaving, drawing, sculpting and ceramics, painting, photography, textiles, quilting, glassmaking, metal working or other medias, please consider donating your work to help TCAC raise crucial funding, which supports arts programming, artists and arts education in the Tri-County region.

Just a few rules: Each original piece of unframed work must measure 5” x 7” or 6” x 6” and must be ready to hang. We will accept a limited number of pieces that can be displayed on pedestals. The deadline for entries is Oct. 30, 2020.

With some recognized artists donating works, you’ll be in good company. But for this event, the playing field is leveled with all pieces displayed anonymously in order for supporters to purchase work for pure pleasure. Of course, artists will identify themselves on the back.

All artwork will be sold at the Art for Everyone Sale and Art Party on Nov. 20 from 6-9 p.m. at the Tri-County Arts Council, 110 West State St., Olean. A $15 general admission ticket will include drinks, light refreshments and a chance vie for your favorites to take home for their own viewing pleasure or as one-of-a kind gifts for only $25 each.

To add an element of suspense, we are selling only 30 first-pick tickets for $50 (includes admission). These tickets are drawn in a random order, giving each buyer 30 seconds to choose a favorite for $25 before general sale begins. After the first-pick ticket holders have made their choice, the remaining artwork will be available for purchase by those in attendance. The installation will hang through the holiday season with pieces available for sale.

While we are all spending more time inside, now is the time to create! If you are interested in donating artwork or purchasing tickets, please email natalie@myartscouncil.net or visit www.myartscouncil.net.
