Updated COVID-19 Statistics as Allegany County Continues State of Emergency

Allegany County, through the combined actions of Chairman Curtis W. Crandall and County Administrator Carissa M. Knapp, has declared a State of Emergency as a continuation of our March 14, 2020, declaration due to the ongoing public health impacts of the COVID-19 virus.  This State of Emergency will remain in effect for thirty days or until rescinded or renewed by a subsequent order.

Chairman Crandall in recognition of the men and women of the Allegany County 911 Dispatch Center, whose diligence and professionalism keep our County citizens safe, declared the week of April 12-18, 2020, as Public Safety Telecommunications Week in Allegany County.

In the United States, there are currently 588,300 COVID-19 cases, and there have been 24,480 deaths. In New York State, there have been 196,140 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 10,834 deaths statewide with 778 deaths in the last 24 hours.  As of 2:30 p.m. on April 14, 2020, Allegany County’s COVID-19 statistics are as follows:

  • Confirmed Cases:  28
  • Recovered Cases:  22
  • COVID-19 Related Deaths:  1
  • Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date:  342
  • Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 281
  • Currently Quarantined/Isolated:  61
